Firstly, top marks to supermarket giant Asda for slashing fuel prices at the pumps.
Today, 9th July, Asda stated they saw no reason why prices should have remained at their high levels. Consequently they were now cutting the pump prices for BOTH petrol and diesel to below £1 per litre.
According to the website petrolprices.com the average nationwide pump price per litre of petrol was previously 103.8p and its price ranged from 99.9p to 115.9 per litre. Similarly diesel was averaging 105.3p per litre with a range of 99.9p to 117.0 per litre.
