News from car maker Audi of the next test for their driverless car, they are fitting their “Autonomous” system into a 2.0 litre TTS Coupe.
The test is being undertaken on the notorious 13 mile Pikes Peak hill climb near Colorado Springs, USA.
It’s a further test of equipment that could one day soon be fitted generally into cars to respond faster than a normal driver to critical situations and take avoiding action, also being a machine it will not “freeze” under such conditions.
Also incorporated is the ability, when required, to note suitable parking spaces and slot the car in the space.
With Sat-Nav and GPS technology added to this gizmo what need will there be for a driving licence?
