Silverstone Secures The British Grand Prix

A new deal signed today will see the Formula1 British Grand Prix safe at Silverstone for the next 17 years.
The deal has been signed following the Silverstone management agreeing to complete the redevelopment of the pit lane and paddocks by 2011.
The calendar of F1 GP events for next year should be released later this week but the British GP will definitely take place at Silverstone on Sunday 11th July which also just happens to be the date of the 2010 World Cup Final.
It is believed the financial agreement was secured by paying a £12million fee with an annual 5% increase and a get-out clause after 10 years.
