Peugeot BB1. Part Car-Part Scooter

Say Hello to Peugeot's new baby,a 4 wheel crossover between a car and a scooter which is just under the size of a Smart car.
For a small electric vehicle it has very good credentials, amongst them are:- it's electric, therefore no gas emissions, measures less than 2.5metres, weighs less than 600kg which allows it to accelerate to 19mph in 2.8 seconds and from 19mph to 37mph in 4 seconds and has a range of circa 75 miles.
The scooter bit comes in,literally, on the inside.Instead of a steering wheel there is a handle bar which just like a scooter has the controls on it and rear passengers ride pillion.
Perhaps where Peugeot will have a lead over others in this field is the fact that all the technology used in this concept car is available off-the-shelf.
The concept Peugeot BB1 has come over to London this weekend, the 7th.and 8th.Nov.,direct from the Franfurt Motor Show and is on display in Convent Garden.
