News out today of a new system to simplify the claims procedure involved when making a claim on your car insurance policy following an accident.
The new system has been instigated by Monarch Insurance, a Philippines based company, which could be duplicated in any country by any other car insurance company.
Basically, following an accident, a driver is advised to ring the Monarch company who will then despatch a mobile auto engineer to arrive at the scene within 30 minutes and make an on-the-spot assessment of the cost of repair; that’s it – done, no form filling, no follow up calls, no waiting.
If you are not satisfied with the initial assessment figure for repair or write off then a claims manager would re-evaluate and if necessary adjust the offer.
This new system could be rolled out worldwide and save time and costs for everyone, and who knows, it might even lead to the availability of cheap car insurance.
