The new Chevrolet Volt electric car is priced in the USA at the equivalent of £28k, is this car better value than the new fossil fuelled Seat Ibizia which does 80.7mpg and emits only 92g/km with a 430 litre capacity boot at near £14k?
With an uncertain life to their battery and also an unknown cost to replace once out of guarantee, who in their right mind will go for the Volt at double the price of the Seat?
No contest. At half the price and with the Seat (Volkswagen) branding its a one horse race.

Does anyone know how long it takes to recharge the Volts battery, can it be done from home?
