Motorists to Save The Country From Debt

Hello, my name is Alice and I’m from Wonderland.
As a privileged car owner my Prime Minister has asked myself and all my fellow motorists to be the ones to make the major sacrifices to get his government out of the huge debts they say they have accumulated on our behalf.

Asda Cuts Fuel Prices

In a surprise move this morning supermarket giant Asda have reduced the price of fuel on their forecourts which motorists hope could lead to a price war.
The announcement there will be a 3ppl cut in both diesel and petrol supplies will result in the motorist paying 103.9ppl and 105.9ppl for petrol and diesel respectively on Asda’s 179 forecourts.

Are You Changing Your Driving Routine?

There is a question posed by the Daily Telegraph today which asks if drivers are leaving their cars in their garages and using alternative transport.
It seems that the suggestion is that government figures show that the more fuel costs the less we drive.

Fuel Economy Data - Don’t Believe IT

As motorists we are now, sadly, having to come to terms with the fact that oil companies are unwilling to lower the cost of fuel at the pumps to anything lower than £1 per litre regardless of the price of a barrel of oil.

That means that we motorists have to keep a keen eye on what our cars mpg figures are in order to budget the weekly cost of motoring.

Here now comes the problem, whose data figures do you believe?
