The multiple starts have appeared to make it more convenient for competitors from different areas to take part while more recently the finish has been moved, first to Newquay, then for a few years back to Lands End and Penzance, and now it's back at Newquay. But the essence of the Lands End Trial remains the same as ever �

The Coleford Carnival of Transport is unique in that it takes place on the streets of the town of Coleford which is in the heart of the beautiful Royal Forest of Dean. The Town Centre is closed off so that vehicles of all types (cars, motorcycles etc.) and all periods can be displayed side by side. Over the past few years the town car parks have been made available for additional Club Displays which now constitute a significant part of the entry.
The route will take in parts of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Saturday will be spent on a road run around the North Yorkshire Moors, including visits to Whitby and Pickering. Sunday will include a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and a classic bus ride to Scarborough.

These events are open to any cars introduced prior to 1980, plus later sports and grand touring cars and other cars of special interest. This tour stays at the Compleat Angler at Marlow, visiting Mapledurham House, Stowe gardens, and Cliveden.
2010 is the 50th anniversary of Lotus's first Grand Prix victory when Stirling Moss triumphed at Monaco. The Annual Lotus extravaganza is at 3 Counties Malvern. It is also 40 years since Jochen Rindt and Lotus became World Champions before tragedy struck at Monza and with the help of Classic Team Lotus we'll have special displays marking both of these important events in Lotus history.
The second vintage and classic transport show at Chasewater Country Park on Dirve-it day. It is a fundraising event for the County Air Ambulance. Car clubs, trade stands, fire engines, tractors, motorbikes, bouncy castles etc.

This celebration of the Thousand Mile Run is held every year on the Sunday closest to the 23rd April shows the spirit and enthusiasm of our movement. The 2009 Drive (or Ride) It Day saw very many vehicles out on that day and so proved that we are not involved with �old bangers� the government is trying to banish from the roads but genuinely cherished cars, bikes, commercials etc. The fourth running of DID was the best supported yet � thank you to everyone that took part, and that includes the spectators that waved enthusiastically as we passed by.
Starting at Chipping Sodbury and returning to The Churchill Pub in Wootton Bassett (SN4 8ET) very close to junction 16 of the M4 for good access to a route home for most of us.The full length will be approximately 160 miles with two breaks,one at Bourton On The Water and the other at Stow On The Wold.
