Scotland's version of the famous Monte Carlo Rally - The Great North Winter Challenge. If you have always wanted to do the Monte Carlo Rally but cannot afford it or spare the time, Scotland now offers its own version of one of this mid-winters famous classic car events.

The Buglass Rally is one of the oldest events on the BDMC calendar, the event is run as navigational road rally but in its early days it was run as one of the classic "Selective" road rallies. The Buglass is a great way to get into car rallying and navigation so why not take your first steps and have a go
This great gathering for car enthusiasts is always a big event. The VW event encompasses all of the traditional VW show attributes under one roof, comprising several halls and floors - there's even a 200 seat indoor restaurant and a pint serving pub! It does not matter what the winter weather throws at us, its always bright and warm on the inside with more than adequate heating and lighting all around to keep it that way. The only outside activity taking place is the vehicles for sale area, last year attracting over 70 vehicles.

The Saltire Classic Rally is a 60 mile road event, including up to 18 tests on a variety of surfaces.new route and lots of new tests.
This classic rally is open to all cars registered prior to 31/12/74. Entries for cars registered between 01/01/75 and 31/12/81 will be accepted to compete for their own class award only. The event is part of the NESCRO series of events.

The "Flying Scotsman" entry-list is invitation only. Crews should note that this is a press-on-regardless style of motoring made up of three long days of essentially daylight driving, down remote country roads, with frequent timed sections, tests on private land and checkpoints, all manned by experienced local motor-club marshals. The Flying Scotsman is the only long distance purely for Vintageants and is aimed primarily at those with some experience who enjoy an element of competition.

The Coleford Carnival of Transport is unique in that it takes place on the streets of the town of Coleford which is in the heart of the beautiful Royal Forest of Dean. The Town Centre is closed off so that vehicles of all types (cars, motorcycles etc.) and all periods can be displayed side by side. Over the past few years the town car parks have been made available for additional Club Displays which now constitute a significant part of the entry.
The route will take in parts of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Saturday will be spent on a road run around the North Yorkshire Moors, including visits to Whitby and Pickering. Sunday will include a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and a classic bus ride to Scarborough.

These events are open to any cars introduced prior to 1980, plus later sports and grand touring cars and other cars of special interest. This tour stays at the Compleat Angler at Marlow, visiting Mapledurham House, Stowe gardens, and Cliveden.
2010 is the 50th anniversary of Lotus's first Grand Prix victory when Stirling Moss triumphed at Monaco. The Annual Lotus extravaganza is at 3 Counties Malvern. It is also 40 years since Jochen Rindt and Lotus became World Champions before tragedy struck at Monza and with the help of Classic Team Lotus we'll have special displays marking both of these important events in Lotus history.
The second vintage and classic transport show at Chasewater Country Park on Dirve-it day. It is a fundraising event for the County Air Ambulance. Car clubs, trade stands, fire engines, tractors, motorbikes, bouncy castles etc.

This celebration of the Thousand Mile Run is held every year on the Sunday closest to the 23rd April shows the spirit and enthusiasm of our movement. The 2009 Drive (or Ride) It Day saw very many vehicles out on that day and so proved that we are not involved with �old bangers� the government is trying to banish from the roads but genuinely cherished cars, bikes, commercials etc. The fourth running of DID was the best supported yet � thank you to everyone that took part, and that includes the spectators that waved enthusiastically as we passed by.

The Nineth Bobby Shafto Hills of the North Run - open to all makes of classic car - organised by Durham MG Club. The run will start at 10am and follow a circular route of 95 miles through the Hills of the North and the north Pennines, returning to Whitworth Hall Spennymoor.
This year is the 30th year of Abbey Hill so to mark this momentous occasion in any rallies history we have decided that the rally will open on the Friday and allow local school's access to the site in the hope that we will all inspire the youngsters of today to continue the traditions of yesteryear's and enable not only Abbey Hill but other rallies to continue for a number of years to come.It features something for everyone. The LLandudno Transport Festival is the largest in Wales and one of the U.K.'s best-loved events. It is held in conjuction with the Victorian Extravaganza. Costume, vintage fairground and a host of attractions combine in a unique annual celebration of transport and entertainment heritage within the town. The two events are linked by a free shuttle-bus service.
More than 500 vintage and classic cars, motorbikes, buses, steam traction engines, commercial and military vehicles displayed on Eastbourne's elegant promenade and seafront. Other attractions included a French Market and funfair rides. Plus there was a seafront cavalcade on both days. The event is organised by Eastbourne Borough Council, in partnership with Eastbourne Historic Vehicle Club, East Sussex Omnibus Society plus a variety of other historic transport groups.

The Annual Pencoed Show is held at an almost ideal location - the grounds of the Pencoed Agricultural College in South Wales. Some of the benefits are large fields that we can utilise for public parking and very direct access to junction 35 of the M4 Motorway. It is a family event, with bars, food and refreshment tents, Ice cream vendors, bouncy castle and fun fair. Normally the Pencoed Silver Band are in attendance as well as a Cheerleader group.
In the Historic South Oxfordshire town of Wallingford, this is a regular event starts with a parade of all vehicles through the historic market town to the display field which is a large piece of common land known as the "Kinecroft" in the heart of the town.

The Chiltern Hills Vintage Vehicle Rally takes place on 3rd Sunday of May annually. On the morning of the rally a road run is organised to start in Aylesbury and finish at the rally site, those who wish to enter should just complete a normal entry form. 50 or so Trade Stands with a wide variety of products on offer.

Killerton, This is the sixth year that this car event has been held and it is attended by over 200 cars and approximately 2,000 visitors. A jazz band plays all day and the Killerton House Cup for best car in show is presented at 4pm. The Best car is voted for by the exhibitors themselves. There is also a prize for the runners up. This year The Brooklands Double Twelve returns, with Brooklands Museum Trust as the official organisers. The �Double Twelve� borrows its name from the meetings organised by the Junior Car Club (JCC) at Brooklands from 1929, but takes its inspiration from rallies organised by the JCC and the Royal Automobile Club in the late 1930s in which the elegance of the competing car was as important as the skill shown by the drivers in tricky manoeuvres.

Set in the beautiful Moffat hills, the rally is an incredible place to both exhibit your cherished classic or vintage motor car and a wonderful visitor experience. The rally accomodates 800-1000 entries some of which come hundreds of miles to participate. This 2 day event has a drive through the Moffat hills on the Saturday to St. Mary's Loch- 300 cars can participate, leaving the town centre in 15 minute intervals in groups of 60.

The 25th Lancashire Classic Car & Motorcycle Show will be a stunning gathering of over 500 classic vehicles assembled at Hoghton Tower near Preston, ranging from pre-1930�s vehicles to modern day classics such as the MGB, Morris Minor and E-Type Jaguar; plus BSA and Velocettes in the Classic Motorcycle Section.

There is a large aoromodeller and model flying contingent; model boat and model railway enthusiasts, a car boot sale, fairground, childrens shows and entertainers, live music and many trade stalls. The 7th Annual Stamford Car Show will be held on Stamford's spacious Town Meadows. Traditional steam engines, vintage tractors and classic cars motored to Nostell Priory for the 40th annual Steam Fair in 2008. A638 (Wakefield to Doncaster Rd). Built on the site of a medieval priory for the Winn family from 1733 onwards, Nostell Priory is today a National Trust property. There was plenty to keep the children entertained with traditional merry-go-rounds and displays by expert bird handlers.

The Selkirk Rally started in 1992 and has grown now to one of the largest in Scotland. The Rally is held annually on the third Sunday of September; with over 1500 in 2007.entries.
