Young Drivers Car Insurance
A UK car insurance company is introducing a policy for young drivers car insurance premiums not to increase in cost nor to endanger no-claims bonus’.
The policy will be a separate fully comprehensive policy with no connection to a parents’ policy thereby not endangering any no-claims bonus’.
The cost is between £90 to £100 per month, which might appear costly at first glance, but take into account an annual young drivers’ car insurance premium could be several thousands of pounds then it takes on a different perspective.
The policy eliminates all the problems with a learner driver using a friend’s or parents car to learn by not putting their policies at risk when the learner is driving.
With some car insurance companies not even considering insuring young drivers below 21 years, or in some cases 25 years of age, this appears to be an ideal stand alone policy.
A spokesperson for the car insurance company explained that many young drivers are put off buying any car insurance when learning because of the cost and with the Driving Standards Agency recommending 45 hours of professional instruction followed by another 22 hours of private practice before taking the driving test, they believe their young drivers car insurance policy could lead to young drivers being more responsible and safer on the roads.
