The advice that comes from the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) is that by going green and improving their driving habits they claim a great many people could reduce the cost of their annual car insurance. The latest advice to get the best car insurance in UK is to be aware of your driving habits and down to the choice of vehicle you drive and if possible to drive during day hours.

This organization, which represents the interests of insurance brokers, intermediateries and their customers states that people who are paying over the odds to insure their cars should discuss the matter with their provider to see whether their policy can be adjusted to better suit all their needs.

An insider at BIBA stated that "the greener a driver is and the least mileage he/she covPicturers, and not driving during night hours when a high percentage of serious accidents are proven to occur, the cheaper the car insurance will be by negotiating a mileage discount if they are not heavily reliant on their vehicle.

The requirement for the correct car insurance has just been re-enforced recently by the new consultation paper released by the Department of Transport called the Continuous Insurance Enforcement (CIE) scheme.

It will involve using the database belonging to the motor insurance industry to identify whether a driver is insured or not and what form of cover is held.

So beware, by all means go for the cheapest car insurance but make sure it provides you with the cover you require.
